Editor's review
Take telephone messages electronically and deliver via email. Fast and accurate with message taker and time of call recorded automatically. 6 colors and costs less than a pad of physical message slips. Pays for itself in 3 months.
Features: TelephoneMessagePad permits you to take messages for people who are out of the office. Voice mails can take care of taking message if they appropriately forwarded and suitable greetings are recorded. But not everyone changes the outgoing message when they travel or checks their messages. Some one back in the office ends up with the responsibility of listening to and dispatching the message. It is thus useful to actually let a human take a message. With this application the persons gets the call routed to his/her console and then can take a message on a standardized form. The form can be emailed to the person it was intended for.
The utility solves inconsistent phone answer handling, phone message routing, handling of out of office calls, and lost "while you were out" message slips. The main part of the application is the Phone Message taking on the "While You Were Out" form. Everybody uses it and understands it. The interface is absolutely simple and does not call for any training at all. The utility also offers appointment and contact message forms. The built-in Phone Messages may be edited and customized to create your own forms. If there is some specific information that is captured with every phone message in the organization, all you need to do is to add it as a field. Email more useful than paper scraps. A message left on a desk can be ignored for days or weeks. Busy on-the-go people always check their email and usually keep it up to date. You can color code the forms or just make the background color suit your taste.
Overall: A nice and simple utility for message taking in a standardized way.
